In the season two premiere, former music mogul Ben Cendars returns to Los Angeles from a year's stint in rehab to confront his past, and billionaire entrepreneur Seth Blanchard joins the ensemble cast of characters from different social strata whose lives intersect.
Seth reconnects with his son Paul while working together on the "new city" project. Bo starts to loose it. Ben meets people he hasn't seen in many, many years. Jimmy finally gets out of the frying pan - into the fire.
Seth causes a media circus when they find out he follows God's wishes. Maggie has her own problems. Inez gets a chance for a better life. Bo's situation worsens. Kenny starts slipping. And finally, Ben edges closer to his target.
The city experiences a total blackout as Bo comes to reclaim the $300 his mom donated to Seth, and Bo has to stay with Seth and Kenny. Ben finds Cassie's friend Roxanne. Jimmy tells Inez they will start anew.
Roxanne is hiding something about Cassie's final days, so Ben forces her into rehabilitation at his home. Bo meets his girlfriend's friend, with surprising results. Seth's campaign needs a miracle to succeed.
Having flipped and dumped his girlfriend, Bo is falling off the edge. Following Roxanne's info, Ben tracks down Gavin Buckley who had a fight with Cassie two days before her death. Then things take unexpected turns for pretty much everyone.
Ben attends her daughter's wake held by the Charles Manson-like Malcolm Sloan, and is set to fall of the edge, as are Seth, Kenny and Jimmy, for different reasons. Bo has already fallen and it's about to have serious consequences.
Anthony and Roger take the fight to Malcolm. Unfortunately, Jimmy does the same with Bauer. Kenny surprises Tess. Seth is about to hold the Byzantium PR conference and invites Wendy ...and suddenly Bo shows regret about his actions.
