Storyline

Suzanna Reid read the latest news headlines and Matt Taylor forecast the Weather. Daily Telegraph reporter Jeff Randall, and actress Jane Asher reviewed the Sunday news papers with Andrew Marr. The new Work and Pensions Secretary James Purnell MP discusses the issues and problems of his new job which he received after the resignation of Peter Hain MP. He will make a major speech in the Hous of Commons tomorrow to set out the governments agenda on work and pensions. By video link from Davos, Switzerland the Shadow Chancellor George Osborne MP discusses, with Andrew, the crisis at Northern Rock and the damaging report on the FSA. Historian Professor Simon Schama, talks about the electrifying American Presidential campaign and how lessons could be learned in the UK. The former Liberal Democrat party leader, Sir Menzies Campbell MP, breaks his silence, at last, and discusses whether he jumped or was pushed from his leadership job and the reasons behind the decision.
