This is how the Pound Puppies got their own TV series

In 1985, this award-nominated movie came on TV and it become such a success that the Pound Puppies got a 26-episode TV series. When Violet Vanderfeller(Gail Matthius) was kidnapped by a pair of dog-nappers named Flack(Charles Adler) and Tubbs(Avery Schreiber), she escapes from them but is immediately taken to the pound. At the pound, she meets the Pound Puppies: Cooler(Dan Gilvezan, who later reprises his role in the TV series), the Fonzie-inspired soft-hearted leader; Scrounger(Ron Pallilo), the garbage loving dog; Barkerville(Alan Oppenheimer), the snobby but gentlemanly dog; The Nose(Joanne Worley), a girl dog with a keen sense of smell; Bright Eyes(Adrienne Alexander, who voiced Brattina in the TV Series); Howler(Frank Welker), the goofy inventor who only howls; and Louie(Don Messick), the chef whose cooking skills are better than his jokes. Meanwhile, Bigelow(Jonathon Winters), the pound's supervisor, was demoted into a garbage man. The Pound Puppies must now get Violet Vanderfeller home and get Bigelow's original job back before Flack and Tubbs kidnap Violet again. The Pound Puppies are the cutest main characters I have ever seen, the plot is original, and the character design is unique. Also starring Henry Gibson(Remember Charlotte's Web?) as Dabney Nabbit, Sorrell Booke(From Dukes of Hazard) as Mayor Fist, Vicki Carroll as Dr. Weston, Ed Begley Jr. as Arnold Fist, Garrett Morris as Chief Williams, and June Foray as Mother Superior.
