Plot Summary

  • Broadway columnist Danton Walker visits restaurant-owner Bill Hardy at his famous 'Gay Nineties" café/club in New York City. Hardy shows Walker through his "museum" of period pieces, playbills and old theatrical programs and posters with which the restaurant is decorated, and both take in the floor show featuring vaudeville acts wearing Gay-90s' costumes.
