18 October 2011 10:25 AM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

For the horror buff, Fall is the best time of the year. The air is crisp, the leaves are falling and a feeling of death hangs on the air. Here at Sound on Sight we have some of the biggest horror fans you can find. We are continually showcasing the best of genre cinema, so we’ve decided to put our horror knowledge and passion to the test in a horror watching contest. Each week in October, Ricky D, James Merolla and Justine Smith will post a list of the horror films they have watched. By the end of the month, the person who has seen the most films wins. Prize Tbd.

Spider Baby or The Maddest Story Ever Told

Directed by Jack Jill

This movie is very fun, not so much scary as gleefully depraved. The film revels in it’s childhood attitude, »

No Blarney, Here Are Ten Hot Irish Men For Your St. Patrick's Day!

17 March 2011 6:55 AM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Three years ago on St. Patrick's Day we presented ten Irish men we'd love to share a shamrock shake with, and the list (Colin Farrell, Pierce Brosnan, Bono, Jonathan Rhys Myers, Stuart Townsend, Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn, Cillian Murphy, Daniel-Day Lewis, and Ronan Keating) turned out to be a "Greatest Hits" of irish hotness.

We thought it was time for an update, so we're giving you ten more Irish guys we'd love to go brogue with! Okay, that was terrible, but don't let that stop you from perusing these pots o' gold!

Mark Feehily

On our first list we featured hot Irish boybander Ronan Keating, which was a difficult decision considering there are approximately 1,753 hot Irish boybanders.

For instance, Westlife singer Mark Feehily, who's not only hot and Irish, but openly gay, and engaged to Kevin McDaid, who is also hot, a former boybander, but strangely ... not Irish.

Geek shows and movies on UK TV in the coming week

10 March 2011 8:03 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Being Human, Skins and Outcasts come to an end, Twenty Twelve kicks off, and there's a great selection of movies on UK TV, too...

Although the housemates would shun it, the spotlight of the week has to shine on Being Human, with the final episode of series 3 airing Sunday, March 13th at 9:00pm on BBC3. We had a sneak peek here, where the unphotographable Mitchell is jailed and Annie looks to be keeping to her promise of staying with him, while making him stay put. But there's still The Wolf-Shaped Bullet, the finale's title, to be feared and identified, and the fate of Nina and the rapidly developing werebaby to be found out. After last week's explosive happenings, we're mystified and thrilled to think where it may all end. If you missed any part of the series, you can catch up and comment on our reviews, and meet back »
