Quotes

Damon Albarn: That's my jacket
Jamie Hewlett: Your jacket sure, you gave it to me, a few years ago, when we were living together.
Damon Albarn: oh Yeah?
camera guy: In those days of shared pants!
Jamie Hewlett: Heh. Shared? Sorry, that's a bit one sided isn't it? I didn't share any pants!
Damon Albarn: It got to the point where he was hiding them, at different places, every hour they'd move. It became sort of a strategic cat and mouse - -.
Jamie Hewlett: The thing I don't understand is every pair he borrowed, I never saw them again. I said, fair enough, we can wash them and you can wear them...

Not in a cage
22 July 2008 | by See all my reviews

Of course anyone who knows the music band Gorillaz will immediately get the title. Not only is the "z" there instead of an "s", but what do Gorillas love? Yep you guessed it right. So this will firstly appeal to the fans of the group. Although I'm not really one of them, I was curious about this documentary. And as it proved to be, it was quite entertaining.

This documentary does really have it all. From low's and high's, to the sort of revelation, of the (hu)man behind the star. Although it's safe to say, that the Gorillaz do not necessarily see each other as famous. This crazy mix of an emotion roller-coaster ride will show that. Not to be taken too seriously, this can be thoroughly enjoyed, by anyone who loves their anti-heroes and loves independent music! :o)
