The fun of this picture lies almost wholly in the character of the unhesitating "Spud," played by Harry Gripp. The setting is in and around a summer lake, for "Spud" is a good swimmer. It gets over pretty well and the audience seemed to enjoy it. The script, taken from "Mr. Leander," was written by James S. Dwyer, and the producer is Ashley Miller. - The Moving Picture World, December 6, 1913
