Sex & Nudity

  • Disregard the banner saying there is no nudity or sexual content. There is both.
  • Occasional sexual references throughout of varying severity. Usually pretty brief and mild.
  • A teen girl's grandmother asks if the girl is on her period. The girl responds by asking is her grandmother wants to see her "vaginal discharge".
  • A teen girls gets her period. Blood is shown running down her leg. This same thing happens to a different teen girl as well.
  • A young woman is shown laying naked in a bathtub. Her bare legs and thighs are seen, as well as her naked torso. Her right breast and nipple are seen. Her genitals are tucked between her legs and aren't seen.
  • All nudity in this series is non sexual and done in the context of creepy cult activities. In addition, all the nudity is reserved for the season finale.
  • A teen girl is shown looking at herself shirtless in the mirror twice. She is wearing a bra. She is later shown in her bra and panties. Another teen girl is shown taking her pants off and walking around in her panties while she changes. Never sexual and always quite brief.

Violence & Gore

  • Very infrequent graphic violence, but constant peril and intense situations throughout. Not as violent as stranger things, but consistently darker and often scarier.
  • The opening scene depicts birds slamming into lighthouse windows. Blood splatters on the windows
  • Supernatural beings attempt to tear the characters' hearts out at different times. Supernatural powers are used to do this, so you only see the attacker's hand in the victim's chest and glowing light coming out. Not graphic, but usually intense. When they succeed, the victim turns to glowing dust.
  • A cult plays a big part in the story. Unusual and often scary events occur because of them. Girls are kidnapped, gagged, and tied up and are shown in a constant state of fear.
  • Several fistfights between characters. Rarely any blood.
  • A man has gasoline poured on him and is then lit on fire. He burns to death and is shown on fire.
  • An intense fire occurs and kills four boys offscreen.

Profanity

  • Very frequent use of "fuck", "shit", "damn", "hell", "ass", "asshole", "bastard", "bitch", "piss", and more. "Motherfucker" used occasionally as well. "F*ggot" is used once. Sexual references as well.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A man is briefly seen lighting and smoking a cigarette.
