Nexus Generation: Fans and Filmmakers (2007)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

This 20-minute featurette can be found on the 30th Anniversary release of Ridley Scott's BLADE RUNNER and features interviews with filmmakers, fans, film critics and magazine editors as they discuss their love of everything to do with the film. This here is a pretty fun featurette because it's always kind of neat to see filmmakers who are just as big of fans as you are. Those interviewed here include Guillermo del Toro, Mark Romanek, Kevin Eastman, Dennis Muren, Frank Darabont, Gary Willoughby and Jeff Cronenweth among others. Fans of BLADE RUNNER will certainly be interested in hearing these stories from other fans. They discuss a wide range of topics including how they were introduced to the film, their original feelings and of course how the movie has influenced their own lives. There's a number of great stories being told here and especially one dealing with a filmmaker trying to make his apartment look like the one in the film.
