10 minutes of watching these spoiled brats is enough to convince any foreign viewer that American children are little pieces of crap and we should be wiped off the face of the planet. They literally buy their culture from clothing stores and the mall in hopes of drawing attention based on the outward appearance of specifically their clothing, their actually looks become secondary and I say this because you notice their clothing far more than what they actually look like.
I'm a firm believe this is primarily the result of the hip hop trend which has always relied on brand new, overly vivid colors and expensive sneakers-a very in your face trend by being flashy, potent colored and over the top. Once it set a standard, the other marketing trends had to keep up and now we see kids wearing $300 jeans and $100 shirts no matter what social trend they subscribe to.
The most pathetic part is, if they wanted to be unique, because they all look the same in these Ken and Barbi clothes due to the nature of the colors and trim, they'd learn to sew and start making their own clothes so they actually have something to be proud of rather than throwing what is a small fortune for a teenager into something to wear which essentially is a way to brag without actually saying anything. Unfortunately that bragging is completely hollow and based on a financial purchase, not individuality and hard work put into customizing or custom making your own clothing.
They are what could be called the Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and now Hannah Montana generation. Three pop stars that are a success due to marketing and corporate backing without which, they'd of never worked their way up in a local music scene and EARNED their way into the lime light where they would also become trend setters.
Instead they slap their name on some piece of crap or wear a designers outfit on TV and the commercial marketing industry rehashes it into a dozen designs, slaps them on store shelves and the kids eat it up thinking it's a representation of who they are and what they're worth.
Seriously, America is doomed.
