Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim follows Al Gore on the lecture circuit, as the former presidential candidate campaigns to raise public awareness of the dangers of global warming and calls for immediate action to curb its destructive effects on the environment.
This is the shortest documentary on the season 1 DVD of Breaking Bad and the only one that has its own page on this site. And yes, as the straightforward title suggests, it is a "making of" featurette. It consists of interview bits, clips of the show, and behind the scenes footage.
Everyone has something to say - the actors and writers both go into the characters, particularly those of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, and the style of the show, in script, humor and tone. The cast of course partake in the usual mutual lovefest(it carries over to Vince Gilligan, as well), and discuss what attracted them about the project.
This is well-paced, and the editing solid, as it keeps moving nicely throughout. The 11 minute running time runs smoothly. They do of course cover the controversial concept - pointing out that the drug is not glamorized, but rather shown in its unpleasant reality. That we aren't called on to agree with the choices of our unfortunate high school teacher, only understand them.
I recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about the series. 7/10
