I went with my kids to see this movie and my kids and I most certainly did not enjoy the movie at all. I went in with very low expectations and, sadly, those were still too high for this movie. I really like Jackie Chan and, I believe, he did a good job in the movie, but his overall participation did most certainly not compensate for the almost non-stop appearance of Jaden Smith who:
1. Can't act. 2. Has an attitude problem which makes him extremely unlikeable 3. Is too young for this role 4. Certainly did not pay much attention in the martial arts lessons apart from being able to perform a split and kick high... 5. I am sorry to repeat myself, but Jaden Smith is extremely annoying and his attitude exudes from the screen like ugly green goo and that simply distracts from every other aspect of the movie.
It was painful to watch this movie with Jaden Smith in almost EVERY single frame. The only reason I am giving this movie one star is because of Jackie Chan... otherwise, if I could have, I would have given it minus points for wasting 2 hours of my life which I would have spent much more productively watching paint dry.
Indeed, the only reason I have registered at IMDb today was to convey my dismay and to warn people not to waste the money, time, and nerves watching this unbelievably and devastatingly obnoxious and annoying Jaden Smith for almost 2 hours non-stop.
