The scenario is that a group of friends is reveling in being young and alive. The group contains the requisite male virgin, the lesbionic girl, a straight couple and a gay couple. When one half of the gay couple (Kaz) is killed in a tragic/moronic accident the group of friends is shattered. The straight couple break-up the gay widow can't deal with seeing any of the others. And the lesbian girl misses her gay best friend too much to hang with any of the gang. A year passes and dead boy comes back as an angel (with a boner) While Tess is the only one who can see him (unless in the throes of an orgasm) he has the ability to make anyone irresistibly horny.
I felt that the initial set-up had promise but it was never fulfilled. We never saw enough of the friends dynamic prior to the tragedy to see what brought these folks together and we didn't learn enough about any of the friends to really care about what happened after. Also the ending left me unclear as to whether anything had really gotten better.
Plus I have no idea where the title tied into this messy story. A better title may have been "Teen Angel Wore Eye-shadow" It certainly would have been more descriptive and entirely accurate.
It's too bad because the scenario had promise and cast was attractive and had the potential to be charming if the director and screenwriter could have just decided where this film needed to go and helped them get there. As it is the film was mostly free from the cringe-worthy dialogue that normally plagues this type of film and it was apparent that a lot of money had gone into this. I just wish the result had been more worthwhile.
