A strange town with strange people
13 March 2008 | by (australia) – See all my reviews

Wormwood is a strange town with equally strange inhabitants. From the few episodes i have seen the plot concerns a boy and his sister and their father who move to said strange town and the father works as a fix it man. The local factory employs much of the town, and it soon becomes apparent it is some sort of industrial scale wormfarm which produces urine and faeces from the worms, called Wormgold. There is also a nearby pond that seems to have some importance in the wormgold production, it contains two giant eyes that must belong a enormous creature, and a nearby tree has a mouth and tongue. The pond contains scum that is used to feed the worms at the factory. All manner of bizarre things seem to happen and no overall single plot line i can find- soup that can make you fly, fly plagues... Overall a rather strange and bizarre show.
