Chronicles the history of the game "Super Columbine Massacre RPG!." The film traces back the 16-bit role-playing game to its inception, through the 2006 shooting at Dawson College in which the game was singled out by the media as a "murder simulator" that "trained" the shooter, and finally the game's removal from the list of finalists at the Slamdance 2007 Guerrilla Gamemaker Competition - prompting half the entries and a sponsor to pull out of the festival in protest. This is an awful "film"
4 April 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

There are some things in this one worth watching. But wow is it put together badly. I was interested in seeing what the Columbine game looked like. Well, it looked like an old Nintendo game, and really wasn't very impressive. The guy talks about the fact that he made this game because he started to head down the same path as these killers. That doesn't exactly make me feel better about the game or its purpose. Although in the film he will tell you that he did this for "awareness" and all this other garbage. An unimpressive and rather creepy guy actually. He did not intend for anyone to find out HE made it by the way, he only came out of hiding when he was tracked down and threatened. And now he speaks in front of audiences like he is some sort of hero. I don't hate that this game exists. I just don't care. Especially when it looks like burger time. There is a part in Call of Duty that is far more offensive than this. Far more. Seeing the other controversial games was cool. I was particularly offended by the 911 game where you have to choose to jump out of the tower or burn alive. I find this game disgusting. This game cannot even claim the stuff the Columbine game does. It is done for "awareness". It is totally exploitive. They should be ashamed for that. Anyway, learning about the controversial video games yourself is a better alternative to seeing this garbage. It is not well done. And at times it feels like a miniseries rather than a feature.
