Ahhh yes....just love when Hollywood gets their panties in a bunch over award season snubs. They do love to pat themselves on the back any chance that they get...and they get a lot of chances. There certainly is no other industry that values the approval of their peers so much....and with such fervor that Hollywood just has to feel recognized in order to give meaning to their lives. But how ironic that this uber liberal society has one of the worst records as far as women's equality, sexual harassment, and misogyny...they certainly don't practice what they preach...but they never have.
The greatest solution to the annual complaints about snubs and unfair recognition of the old school Hollywood players....don't broadcast any of the awards shows. 90% (an uneducated guess) of the public could care less about what Hollywood thinks of each other...just look at the sink No ratings of award shows. If the shows stop being broadcast then the spectacle of it goes away, the political undertones go away, and the public won't care. As a matter of fact...why not make it pay-per-view? That will really show how much the average joe really gives a **** about who wins what, who didn't win, and who wore what designer dress. Because in reality (something Hollywood has no clue about) people's lives will go on without the self-righteous pandering of the Hollywood 1%-ers.
