Not brilliant but worth a watch

For some reason it has the feel of a first-time film maker got lucky. Add to this the plugging of Josh Henderson's debut album and it almost becomes the sort of film where a talented student with a camera just wants to show off. It's strange to compare a film with such known actors to the unknowns of the first high school musical, but you could easily imagine the lead characters as Troy and Gabriella.

Getting past the amateur feel the film is likable if not very memorable. The spin of "boy meets girl, boy hates girl" has scope for originality but by halfway through this is just another regular chick flick. This in itself is not a bad thing and Henderson and Dewan play a convincing and believable performance.

It's certainly worth watching but don't expect to be blown away.

The worst high school movie i've ever seen.

This film has zero charm or wit (even for a teenage film). The director seems to lack a basic understanding of film conventions, character development and comic timing. The characters are bland and one dimensional.

This film is clearly aimed at the teenage market, but the lack of charm, lame and unbelievable characters and formulaic plot will fail to entertain anyone. Spare yourself and avoid this movie. There are plenty of teenage films that are much more fun.

• Not to mention that this film implies that only one girl in a million isn't a crazy, clingy, bimbo.

Board the Crazy Train

This is a teen romantic comedy a notch below and less universal appeal than "An Easy A." Adam (Josh Henderson) has a girlfriend Cynthia Swensen (Jaci Twiss). She dumps him for bad boy Marc Dixon (Abraham Taylor). This leads Adam to believe all women love the "bad boy" or jerk in this case. He does quite well being a jerk, of course playing in a band and being the lead singer never hurts either. Pretty girls throw themselves at him, but he wants Molly (Jenna-Dewan-Tatum) who plays hard to get and demands respect.

The scene talks place at a Catholic school with the occasional D.E.B.S. fantasy outfits. Tom Arnold plays a priest who occasional misspeaks in sexual innuendos, such as "So concludes my unit on procreation" or "Easier than a prom date."

Danny Bonaduce plays himself in what I thought was the funniest scene in the film. The script is predictable. It also lends itself to some old fashion dating protocol while contrasting it with what not to do. Not a blockbuster, but it was entertaining.

PARENTAL GUIDE: No f-bombs, no sex, no nudity (rear male shot, bot on thong). Sexual themes, but no parental embarrassing sex talk. Seems to be a light PG-13.

Good movie to Watch

I recently watched this film on Netflix, its a funny high school comedy that if you like the genre of movies on guys trying to get with girls or even if your in high school and can't get a girl you should definitely take out an hour and a half and watched this movie. Its worth the time to watch it. It's a great soundtrack by Josh Henderson, and for those guys who are dick to girls to get in there pants this will be pretty much the story of your life. So yeah take the time and watch it sometime. I gave this a 7 out of 10 so yeah and I'm a movie collector, and definitely going to be adding this film to my collection.

A Light-hearted, fun comedy.

This is a nice, light-hearted fun comedy with a good message.

Josh Henderson and Jenna Dewan have great chemistry as leading roles in this romantic comedy and both are wonderful actors. Tom Arnold is hysterical and keeps things hoping with never a dull moment. The casting was really good and I really enjoyed Jesse Heiman as the funny chubby kid that thought he really fit in but just never really did.

This movie has a fun plot and I found myself laughing through most of the movie. Most High School and college students will really relate to the plot. The high school setting was perfect. I very much liked the ending of the film. A bit like a fairytale.

Surprisingly good

I honestly wasn't expecting much when I started watching this movie. It seemed like another cliché chick flick that I would cringe my way through, but, although it was very cliché, the acting was good, the characters were believable, and the way the movie portrayed high school was often spot on. There were also more than a few unique spots throughout the movie where I couldn't help but think "Wow, that's actually pretty clever". The movie did have many faults; Certain important plot points were skimmed over, it got incredibly cheesy at the end, etc., but these didn't distract from the pretty good writing and cliché-without-being-too-cliché vibe it gave out. If you're looking for something meaningful, this isn't for you. But, if you want a fun chick flick that pulls at your heartstrings a little bit, then go right ahead.

Great Movie

I saw the screening and not only high school students will relate to this movie but everyone will. Its a funny heart warming film that will make everyone laugh. Tom will have everyone rolling. Jesse also has some very funny parts. The way he acts to get a date is just ridiculous but will keep you laughing. We all know someone that fits his character in real life, the kid that never really got it.

Jenna and Josh both were amazing actors and will suck anyone into the story.

I loved the strong ties to music it just made everything that much better. I think the soundtrack will be an amazing album and look forward to hearing it.

I cant wait to see the final version.

I saw a screening of this film and absolutely loved it. Tom Arnold was phenomenal and had my favorite scene of the movie in the confessional. I look forward to being reeled in by the love story again. It draws you in and pays off in the end. How can you not fall head over heals for the lovely Jenna Dewan? The music was fabulous and gives you some great love songs along with up beat music that is right in line with the comedic aspect of the film. Josh Henderson is the perfect fit for his character and will have every girl from fourteen to forty wishing they were "Molly". It seems that everyone would know someone that fits the profile of each character and we can all relate to the story line.

At first i though it would be just another high-school movie but after the first few minutes the movie got me.

The story-line is not extremely unique but yet very catching and enjoyable. Soundtrack really does its job well during all the important and not-so-much-* moments.

About the actors well I must say that they really got a bright future.Not to low nor overreacting just as much emotion and everything as it is needed.Directing is also good and the act (at least to me) is well paced.

One of the few movies i rate 10/10.Recommended for everyone who's looking for nice fresh comedy with good acting and nice soundtrack ;) .

I loved this movie!!!

It was a really good chick flick with some good humor and romance in it.

I think it has some great values and I agree that gentlemen will always be picked over jerks.

Also, I do believe that sex is worth waiting until marriage for and girls should maintain their values no matter how good the guy may become.

The only thing I didn't like was degrading God by joking about Him in certain ways. I thought it was not cool.

But based on being a romance movie... it's now one of my favorites(:

This movie! It's the perfect chick flick! The music is pretty good some has even been my favourites. And it is so hard to write a review without spoiling it for someone.
