- TriviaNursery Rhymes and Australiana, In the Can celebrates 100 years of Australian Film. This one minute film won an AFI award, the Artist Services Student Film Award. The title of the film refers to Australia as a penal colony. This film was shot on Kodak Tri-X high contrast 16mm film using a clockwork Bolex and Nagra 1/4" magnetic tape audio recorder. When the footage came back from the laboratory they nearly didn't edit it, but with a little fiddling managed to pull something really nice off on a pair of SVHS decks. The pleasure of this film is in the many minor details found in repeat views.
