When the mayor's 17 year old daughter gets pregnant, Dr. Jacob is called to abort the child. But, anti-abortionist Reverend Thomas will not allow the murder of this unborn child who has been fathered by his own nephew - and will go to any extent to save the life of this baby, even if the mayor sets it up as a federal case. Recently I purchased a copy from Amazon.com to show support to the film as I have always followed the work of the filmmakers. I had no expectation from this little film but to my surprise this was a very well made movie. The story grabbed my attention. A love story of teenagers, a couple of cops, family feud and courtroom drama. The film has all the ingredients of a commercial cinema. And set in Mexico and Texas, it also has its ideologies. Cinematography was mindblowing. The difference in the shots of USA and Mexico was so vivid and gritty. The treatment was not hackneyed. What I liked the most was that I was not given a chance to leave halfway down which is what I had first expected when I had sat down to watch it. The feel, the music, the pace gave a different texture to this film. I must say its a very well-written after school teen drama that is a must see for teenagers and their families just for the message its spreading.
