(Some Spoilers) Sticking his neck out for a friend of his, Ellen, Mike Kovac ends up getting brutally worked over by on the lamb hoodlum Ace Lupo's goons Bib & Al in hiding a photo that Ellen took of him, by accident, at the night club that she works at.
Knowing that the negative, as long as he has possession of it, of Lupo and friends at the night club is the only thing that can keep him alive Kovac plays for time in that his friend police Let. Donavon is on the case. Also unknown to Lupo Lt. Donovan has a print, that Kovac gave him, of the negative that can prove that Lupo is in town and where, for the local police and FBI, to find him. Pushing up the price for the negative to $10,000.00, from the original $500.00 that he was offered for it, Kovac gives Lt. Donovan all the time he needs to get to Lupo's wear-house hideout and rescue him before Lopo has Al & Bib put Kovac out of commission, in the deep freeze storage room, forever!
Hard hitting "Man with a Camera" episode with Charles Bronson as Mike Kovac giving back as good as he took, with him having a number of his ribs cracked, as he takes the fight to Lupo in an exciting knock down and drag out slug fest at the conclusion of the TV episode. Lupo's hoods Al & Bib were earlier taken care of by Lt. Donovan who came just in time to save Kovac from being put on ice by them. There's also the sleazy shyster Richard Gaines who fronted for Lupo and together with Luop's gun moll Monique Thaxter who both tried to use persuasion instead of force to get Kovac to spill the beans to where the incriminating negative was.
Worth watching for just the fight scene between Kovac and Lupo alone. After almost five minutes of slugging it out with the much older Lupo Kovac knocks him against a bunch of crates that fall on top of the former Murder inc. crime chief crushing him to death! Which saved the state countless thousands of dollars in tax money, that could be used for much better things, in prosecuting and jailing him!
