Pretty much like the movies...
7 December 2013 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

This first episode of the television version of "Lone Wolf and Cub" is pretty much what you'd see in the movies but with a different actor in the lead. However, instead of redoing what happens in the first movie (where the Lone Wolf is created after being betrayed by his clan), you catch references to this alone. Instead, you find the guy doing what he always seems to be doing--looking for an assignment (i.e., someone to assassinate). Fortunately, the lady (Ohama) who is looking for his services wants some folks killed who really, really have it coming! And, in true Lone Wolf fashion, he takes along his young son and uses his wits and swordplay to finish his assignment in style. Nothing brilliant here but enjoyable and worth seeing. My only complaint is that bird with the blinding powder--that was really, really dumb!
