Two people are dead because of the killing devices someone had placed
mysteriously in their work places. The police that covered the crimes
didn't get leads that could help them apprehend the perpetrator. As the
Cold Case team becomes involved in trying to put the pieces together,
they interview a survivor who escaped with his life, while losing one
eye. This man gives the detectives a valuable tip to solve the case.
This man, was almost killed when the explosive device exploded. As he
was laying on the floor something strange happened, he heard a man walk
past him whistling.
The two other victims had a closer contact with the bomber. One young man worked at a store where the killer had a bad experience because of a product that didn't work. The second victim was a hospital worker who acted in a manner that was perceived as inappropriate when he was needed to provide some service to a suffering patient. Those two didn't live to tell their stories.
Going back to the past, the Cold Case unit discover a link to the bomber in an unexpected way. The key is a musical box that is rigged to produce the explosions that kill whoever has been targeted by this crazy person behind the crimes. Nicole Kassell directed the screenplay by Greg Plageman, one of the writers that have contributed to the series. Kim Coates and Timothy Omudson appear as the two brothers at the center of the case. Ryan Kelley and Chris Butler are also featured.
