Patty and Ellen have moved on. Helen is now working for the District Attorney's office but one can sense the utter boredom. Since Patty admitted trying to have her killed, they have an understanding. The focus of this series will be a man (like Bernie Madoff) who has run a Ponzi scheme and has bilked people out of billions of dollars. He is currently on house arrest, and his family is paying a price for his actions. For the moment anyway. As is usually the case with Hewes Law Firm, Patty is going for the jugular. She trusts no one, of course, and is interviewing the family member, especially the wife (played by Lily Tomlin) and the son. In the middle of everything, Patty is T-boned in a car accident and things begin to get rather strange at that point. Anyway, Ellen and Patty finally meet after a year. The setup now is some strange findings at the end of the episode as the police look for the hit and run driver.
