WHAT HAPPENED TO ADAM?!?
smahmood-1175527 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After Justin leaves to get cigarettes and gets lost he says he calls a friend (Adam) and tells him to bring Zo home. There was never another mention of Adam from anyone and the production didn't mention that Adam declined to be interviewed like they did with every other episode.

And where was he getting cigarettes at. It was at least after 11pm in a town that they say didn't have a grocery store and only 1 gas station. Far more questions than answers with the friends.

Good documentary
Calicodreamin5 July 2020
A lack of evidence and information cloud the death of Alonzo Brooks. Fifty people at the party where he disappears from and no one has any answers. A sad story, but an intriguing doc. The interviews were relevant, the timeline well established, and good visuals.

My Guess Is...
ramblingvagabond31 July 2020
The KBI and FBI did a piss poor job of investigating, possibly for racial reasons, who knows. The sheriff knew something and was trying to cover it up. He actively tried to prevent searches for him, he actively tried to keep the family away and not give them info, not let them search or anything. And of course Justin was in on it.

Warning: Spoilers
What is this? I've read reviews and I can say the same. What kind of friends leave friend in party ALONE, who had already conflict about his race ,who doesn't have ANYONE to drive him back home? How this is not shady? That guy,Justin, who gone to buy some cigarettes... The f... is this? You just don't go randomly to buy cigarettes, don't get them and even leave friend for no reason. That call to Adam, I'm not even convinced if it ever happened. We didn't hear anything about Adam or other participants who were in the party. How sketchy is that? I'm blaming his friends and it doesn't matter he drown or was killed, that's their fault.

Not bad.

Warning: Spoilers
This was slightly better than the 2nd episode (the 13 minutes murder one), but I really think they should stay away from murders. I'm a big mystery buff, and the only mysteries that don't intrigue me much anymore are murders since the motives are always the same (power, sex, money, and so on -- over and over). I guess you could say the same for disappearances, but there's just slightly more mystery there (we don't know if they're still alive, if they left on their own, etc).

Friends?
blueoysterdvp3 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Some very strange moving parts here. What kind of friends leave the ONLY MINORITY person at a redneck party AFTER he already had a confrontation with a most likely racist? "He was really having a great time and seemed very happy". Really? "I left to get us cigarettes ", but left Alonzo alone with all these strangers? All Alonzo's friends should've said after that first confrontation LETS GO! The friends that left early SHOULD'VE said time to go Alonzo. They all shook his hand and gave him a hug when they left. Hmmm..... consistent story. Rehearsed? Why go 50 miles to a party in redneck territory? Who's idea was it to go to the party originally? It's easy to put words in a dead person's mouth when they can't talk back. The KBI, FBI and Sheriff's dept ALL DID A LOUSY INVESTIGATION. This case should never have been closed. "It's inconvenient to move a dead body". Yes but easy for these people that hunt down there and know the terrain. It's VERY EASY to move a dead body to a remote spot with a 4 wheeler. Deer and big game hunters do it all the time. The town was so small they didn't have a grocery store and one gas station but I'll go out for smokes and get lost in a cornfield. Too many inconsistencies. I feel bad for Alonzo's family. Somebody knew something the night he disappeared. Personally I think someone in his "friends" circle knows what happened. One can come up with different theories but Alonzo's body being moved for the family to find is a given. If not like I mentioned all the investigating parties did a TERRIBLE JOB. Especially interviewing witnesses and getting a hold on who held the party. It was a tiny town with very few people living there but law enforcement couldn't come up with more clues? Great episode but disturbing. RIP Alonzo

No Ride Home.
bombersflyup21 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It's unsolved in regards to who did it, but was there even an investigation. Finding out who was there and interrogating them. Why's the person that his friend called to give Zo a ride home never spoken of again. Without any statement from that person, who was apparently there when his friend went to get cigarettes in the middle of nowhere, there isn't enough to go on. Why go to a party in the middle of nowhere, why the friends would leave him there after an arguement with someone and going to get smokes is stupid, but why didn't he come back. He drove there, said he got lost, but if he can find his way home he can find his way back to the party to pick up his friend. Someone had to tell you about the party and someone told them and so on, it's not pressed enough. The friend who drove him there and blames himself has avenues to pursue, he knew people who were there, but no mention of anything, just accepts oh they didn't meet up. You have the family talking and searching and the friends recalling what happened, but neither merge.

Unresolved Crimes would be a better name
bladgab4 July 2020
This episode was longer than needed. They ran in circles telling the story, you knew the guy was killed since they started talking fondly of him. "Mysteries" is a broad word for a series that only talks about unsolved crimes. Some of the stories are better than others... but the once you recognize the pattern: the person everybody talks fondly about in the beginning is surely dead, second... nobody knows who kill them. Nobody was ever put behind bars for it.

Police Negligence for Black
theforager4 July 2020
Its about murder of a black young guy and police shows no interest to investigate. The family is in pain and searches the body themselves. What police has to say about this all lazy rationales.
