Baby teeth
beltezam19 July 2020
Aside from getting very confused about parts of WV that I knew well, but seem to be in no rational geographical places, the baby (Andy) sometimes seems to have a lot more teeth than a baby of his age should, and sometimes he has none.

Bones is a Daddy Mommy? Warning: Spoilers
This is a really good episode that allows Brennan to show her softer side. While not wanting kids is the right choice for a lot of people, this episode does a good job at showing that it's not that Brennan doesn't like or want kids, but she just doesn't understand them, at least not until the adorableness that is Andy! Booth and Brennan have a great partnership and watching them as pseudo-parents is adorable! My favorite part is when she calls him the "Baby Daddy" and then you can hear him mumble that she's the "Daddy Mommy" which makes no sense, only making the scene funnier! I also relate a lot to Angela when she says that she has a thing for chaos. I gave it 9/10 instead of 10/10 because I was very confused by the actual facts of the case for the first two or three times I watched the episode, but other than that, it's a great episode!

The One Where Bones And Booth Take Care Of A Baby...
taylorkingston29 September 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I really love this episode. It's so funny.

After a woman is killed in a suspicious car accident, Booth and Bones wonder how the woman's baby survived it. It was practically a miracle, even though Bones would never use the word miracle. Since the woman hasn't been identified, there is no one to take care of the little baby. So Booth volunteers to babysit. Bones going along with it, eventually learns to really like the baby. Maybe she would be open to having a baby one day (wink, wink). Get it? Because Bones and Booth have a baby in Season 7. Spoiler alert!

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10.

Baby time!
mitchrmp20 July 2016
Another excellent episode! Though it's realistic that an FBI agent would be conducting his investigation while carrying around a baby, there are some pretty precious scenes in this episode. Brennan finds her maternal side, and Booth shows his (LOVE IT)!

Booth and Brennan are actually discussing having children at the end of this episode. Not necessarily together, but it still sounds pretty awesome. Booth then starts talking about what Brennan can do with her money - and he shows his childish side.

There's also a very touching episode where Booth makes Brennan stay in the car with a promise that she'll think about the baby - not him. It's obvious they know the other has deep feelings for the other, and Booth convinces her to set her feelings for him aside to protect the baby.

Very sweet!

Love this episode, though it's very unrealistic.

So many cute scenes and moments between B&B and I just love the character development. That Brennan is good around/with kids was already established in previous episodes, but with baby Andy and the whole situation (taking care of him during the case) it shows a different side of Brennan. Though it's rather unrealistic that in a real life scenario a FBI Agent would walk around with a baby, it sure makes the episode entertaining and interesting. Always one of my favorite episodes to just rewatch when I'm bored. But take this with a grain of salt because I just love that show and might not be the most objective person to rate the episode.

Romance Trope Central
darthmaulknits30 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is such a well rounded episode of Bones, you can't rate it anything but a 10/10. "The Baby in the Bough" is one I think of when I think of "classic" Bones episodes. "Dancing phalanges!" is, of course, iconic, but I think the mystery is interesting and well done, too. I always forget who the killer is upon rewatch.

But what really makes this episode a stand out is Bones and Booth caring for a baby together. Seeing how they each interact with Andy in different ways develops their characters and is also hilarious. Not to mention, it is a classic romance trope and I love how the show never shies away from plots like this when developing Bones and Booth's romance. What an epic slow burn.

P. S. Hi The Bones Booth! Keep doing what you're doing.

Hey Bones Booth Pod!

Warning: Spoilers
Lol how relatable Booth spending your money on food and rent. The scenes with Bones and baby Andy are funny and adorable. Elephants aren't purple, bears would just devour a small child, and dancing phalanges! Oh im sure Meg just loved helping her deadbeat baby daddy. Trash on a cracker hmmm I know a few of those. Yup Bones that's still how politicians work. Not a great way to seduce her Hodgins lol. So glad Andy ended up with a good loving family. How cool of Bones to rebuild the bridge.

Goo goo

B&B end up with a baby on their hands while investigating the death of a young mother. Booth of course takes right to the kid, Booth being a father and all, while Brennan initially is very awkward around it. She even allows the rugrat to swallow a crucial piece of evidence. By the end, you just know Brennan has found her nurturing side and is bonding with the baby. Having a baby around the office gets Hodgins and Angela, who are still sweet on each other at this point, thinking about kids. Some very funny dialogue ensues. As many of you know, I quickly tired of the whole Hodgins/Angela thing (I also got tired of Angela), and evidently so did the writers in time. But the two talking about having babies here is absolutely priceless.

Cute Episode
Hitchcoc26 January 2023
The tragedy is that woman is killed in a car explosion; she is burned to a crisp. In a tree next to the car is a little baby boy. Booth and Brennan take custody of the baby as they investigate. Although she would never admit it, Brennan's maternal instincts kick in. As time goes by, she becomes more and more attached to the little guy. Evidence leads to a small, dying town called Huntsville, where nearly all the industry has gone. A bridge that was destroyed has collapsed, cutting off access to the town. There are some precious moments as Bones and Booth do their best to give the child what they can. The concluding scene is so neat.

Great episode, very inappropriate music at the beginning
barnwal-usa11 August 2019
When the two cops are handling the baby as his mother has been murdered, how can the music be so chirpy? Literally the mother's dead body is next to them and they are laughing and joking about the body? That felt very inappropriate, unrealistic and insensitive. The writing and music here was poor.
