Sex & Nudity

  • Some humanoid monsters (male and female) appear fully nude with visible genitalia.
  • It is possible for Geralt to have sex with various female characters throughout the game by presenting them gifts or completing quests.
  • For each love encounter, the player receives a "sex card" featuring a female character involved. In the European version of the game, the cards can be pretty explicit, breasts, nipples and buttocks visible.
  • Some of the characters in the game, like dryad in the swamp, is clearly shown full frontal nude.

Violence & Gore

  • Monsters are encountered, some of which feed on the corpses of the dead and have gory appearances.
  • Fighting scenes can get pretty violent, it is possible to slit enemy throats, behead them, stab them with swords or knives in many different ways, hit people with axes and maces.
  • The game can get very gory, the blood looks realistic, but it can be turned off.
  • Many animals can be killed, including huge spiders, giant centipedes, wolves and also wild dogs.

Profanity

  • Strong language, ranging from "Fuck", "Shit", "Bitch", "Piss", "Cock", rare uses of "Cunt", among other words is used. The original Polish version is as vulgar as the English version, if not more explicit in dialogue.
  • Many racial slurs.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Consumption of alcohol is very common in the game, many quests take Geralt to taverns and inns, which are full of drunkards. Geralt, himself, can get drunk and pass out on the street.
  • Different types of alcohol can be carried as items in inventory, including, beer, wine and vodka.
  • Game features it's own type on drug, called fisstech. Many addicts can be found in the game, some quests involve drug trafficking. It is possible for player to create fisstech himself, using game's alchemy system. It can be used by player, sold or presented as gifts to others.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A boy gets possessed by a demon and talks like the girl from The Exorcist.
  • Some locations can be unsettling, especially when the sun sets as monsters become more frequent and active during night time.

Violence & Gore

  • Local criminals kindnaps children and dogs and does experimenting on them. Later in the game, people are turned into mutants, as a result of these experiments.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • In Chapter 3, a man is cut in half by a huge spider.
