Judi's arrival is watched for a while by Alec surreptitiously. Afterwards, he returns to his community service, helping to clear out a canal. Spencer Hargreaves makes a bad impression on Mr. Robson just a few seconds into the new year. Calvin Braithwaite's arrival though, in a cool car with a young lady who's surely too young to be his mother, creates quite a stir. A new scheme is announced pairing the new Year 7's with Sixth Formers, to help them settle in. Amy is the only one not in uniform, and her clumsiness in getting to her seat seem set to make her stand out - Spencer calls her "Mrs. Bean". In the canteen queue, Spencer's cheeking of a dinner lady turns to horror when he turns suddenly and causes Mr. Robson's tray to tip up, messing up the Head's smart suit. Calvin seems full of tall tales about his life, but when the dinner lady approaches, he seems extra keen to avoid her. Fed up with working along the canal, Alec is determined to go back to school, and starts getting ready. ... Written by Geffers
