Grizzly Claws through the Cast in this First Trailer

22 July 2014 9:00 AM, PDT | 28 Days Later Analysis | See recent 28 Days Later Analysis news »

Saw V director, David Hackl, returns to horror with Grizzly. Also known as Endangered and Red Machine, this title involves a grizzly bear on a rampage and two brothers lost in the Alaskan wilderness. Grizzly stars: James Marsden, Piper Perabo, Billy Bob Thornton and Thomas Jane. A trailer for this feature has recently been released. The story begins with several disappearances. Loggers and rangers make great bear food, but this grizzly bear has his sights on two brothers. Blood streaks and claw marks will mar many of the characters, before this 500 lb beast is overcome. The trailer for Grizzly is full of gore. Actor Billy Bob Thornton can be seen marked by this great beast. Other minor characters are reduced to bloody pools and Grizzly looks like a film for gorehounds. The official trailer for the film is below. Release Date: 2014. Director: David Hackl. Writers: Guy Moshe and J.R. Reher. »

Crime Time: Top 10 Serial Killers in Movies

21 May 2014 2:47 PM, PDT | Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news »

The phrase "serial killer" is most often attributed to the late FBI agent Robert Ressler, who coined the term along with fellow agent John Douglas as they began profiling and researching murder cases in the 1970s. His work led him to have direct contact with serial killers, with Ressler apparently receiving a painting from killer John Wayne Gacy with an inscription that apparently read: "Dear Bob Ressler, you cannot hope to enjoy the harvest without first laboring in the fields. Best wishes and good luck. Sincerely, John Wayne Gacy, June 1988."

The inscription sounds like it came out of a movie, which perhaps isn't so surprising since Hollywood has been making movies about serial killers since the silent era. Sometimes these movies are about real-life killers, other times they are based on real-life killers or events, or, and perhaps even more disturbing, they are based on nothing but imagination. Either way, »

The cast of Angel: 10 years on

4 March 2014 7:44 AM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Feature Sarah Dobbs 5 Mar 2014 - 07:00

Sarah digs into the post-Angel careers of David Boreanaz, Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Charisma Carpenter and more...

It’s been about a decade since the last episode of Angel, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off series about the vampire with a soul, aired. The final episode of season five, Not Fade Away, first appeared on Us television screens on 19 May 2004. That seems simultaneously like a very long time ago, and not very long ago at all, because time is vast and human brains are small and fallible, but it’s safe to say that in TV years, it’s a pretty long goddamned time.

The men and women behind the characters we used to spend one night a week with have gone on to other things – some bigger and better, others kind of rubbish – and unless you’re a particularly obsessive superfan, you »
