The season five that (luckily) never was.
20 July 2013 | by (Barcelona) – See all my reviews

Just finished watching season four, had this on my list. Apparently the internet likes to say this is the two last episodes of the fourth season, taken directly out of TV and put together as a standalone direct-to-DVD movie, which being fourth the last season of the series, would mean it's the conclusion of the story. That is, however, absolutely untrue.

The fourth Season of Prison Break had it's own conclusion, not only for the season plot but for the overall plot of the series, making Prison Break: The Final Break feel more like a fifth season that was so poorly written an unnecessary to the story that was cut down to one hour and something. A rushed story, with lots of unfinished subplots, plenty of situations happening off-screen and lack of character development for the new-comers. It is, by no means, a good movie, and will even disappoint fans of the series that are expecting a mind blowing conclusion to the story, but it is a nice extra for all of those who were faithful to the show and were sad for it's finale.
