Screened before the United States Congress April 3rd,2008 and helped encourage Congress to pass a resolution H Con Res 163 Dandy Walker Syndrome directing the NIH national Institute of health to appropriate funds for research on Dandy Walker Syndrome. 105 co sponsors took the resolution to the house floor for a vote and it passed unanimously June 26th, 2008.

Inspiring.courageous,and tough to watch,but impactful!

I was lucky enough to see this movie and realized how lucky I am that I have only had to experience colds,cuts,and scrapes with my kids. This film shows the reality of being told your child won't make it. But it most definitely shows the lengths parents will and do go to in order to be heard. I was able to hear the filmmaker speak of why she allowed the raw footage from families to be rough and how she started to tell the story of her nephew,but uncovered thousands around the world affected by this rare disease called Dandy Walker a Autistic like disease. At times the movie is overwhelming but in the end we find out that this movie helped to give families a voice.

I must admit that it brought tears to my eyes and it made my wife cry. Documentaries are not really my thing but I suggest you get Dandy Kids and be informed and then tell someone else.

These kids are worth it and so is the movie. I can't believe she got members of Congress to listen.
