Christina Aguilera has celebrated her 31st birthday in Los Angeles with family and 50 close friends, including her fellow The Voice mentors. The Burlesque popstar was joined by Adam Lambert and Blake Shelton along with his wife Miranda Lambert, reports Us Weekly. Cee Lo Green, who also serves as a mentor for the NBC singing competition show, was apparently not at the party. Guests dined and played board games at her party, while Aguilera's boyfriend Matthew Rutler surprised her with a Marie Antoinette cake. A source (more) »

Costume designer for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, Michael Kaplan, talks us through his choices and intentions for clothing in the film. Prepare to be disappointed if you want Tom Cruise’s blue silk suit worn in Dubai; it was custom made by Mr. Kaplan himself. At least Cruise’s Persol sunglasses are available to buy, however.
Michael Kaplan is a powerhouse force in costume design. He is guaranteed to have worked on at least one Hollywood movie you fondly remember from the last twenty years or so. If in doubt consider he designed Samuel L. Jackson’s pimp ensembles for The Long Kiss Good Night (1996) and Randy Quaid’s bad taste brilliance as Cousin Eddie in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989). All of those beauteous stage outfits you saw in Burlesque? »

Ghost Protocol surges close to the complex spy shenanigans and intricate set pieces of the original film but comes up frustratingly short overall. Yet, even if this feels less a complete story and more an extended episode of television, it is still enjoyably daft fare with enough sci-fi tech and desirable clobber to keep you cooing until the credits.
Even with Tom Cruise’s star draw as agent Ethan Hunt, the Mission: Impossible movies have always been about the team. Mainly because Ethan is not nearly as interesting a spy as James Bond or Jason Bourne, a point reflected by his choice of attire. Ethan sports a portable wardrobe of changing trends (v-neck sweater and »

Wow, even Nicolas Cage must be impressed. The first trailer for next spring's fist-pumping, '80s set musical "Rock Of Ages" has arrived and, man, we just can't get over the impressive display of bad wigs. Given the money they clearly spent on these hairpieces, they couldn't score one for Paul Giamatti? Directed with incredible restraint by "Hairspray" and "Bedtime Stories" director Adam Shankman, we can't really tell if this is supposed to be intentionally campy or not. But either way, it's clearly on its own planet. Based on the hit Broadway musical, the story centers on a small town girl (Julianne Hough) who moves to Los Angeles with dreams of making it big. It's basically "Burlesque" but with even more hair product. The entire trailer builds up to a reveal of Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx, a controversial rock god of sorts. It's Cruise doing Cruise via Frank T. »
It seems like everything we find out about "Casa de mi Padre" is getting weirder and weirder as its March release date nears.
The latest detail to drop is that Christina Aguilera will be loaning her considerable lung power to the movie's title track. So far there's no trace of the dancing diva in the trailer, but perhaps we would hope for a little tongue-in-cheek cameo?
From the trailer, "Padre" looks like a telenovela-slash-"Godfather" comedy in an alternate universe where Will Ferrell could be Gael García Bernal's hermano. Of course, Nick "Ron Swanson" Offerman as a federal agent ain't too far of a stretch
(Before you press play, be warned that there's a naked butt in there. Ferrell's, natch.)

Christina Aguilera has reportedly considered proposing to boyfriend Matt Rutler. The Burlesque star, who began dating production assistant Rutler in November 2010, is apparently anxious to become engaged as she is certain that she wants to marry him. "She makes jokes about him proposing all the time in front of him," a source told In Touch Weekly. "He gets a little embarrassed, but it's obvious they've talked about it. It's coming soon. She wants to start over and thinks that asking him to marry her is the way to start." (more) »

The sound of Hogwarts is apparently music to Grammy's ears.
Even if the last "Harry Potter" adventure doesn't manage to conjure up some halfway decent Oscar nominations, we can at least rest assured that Grammy is a fan of "Deathly Hallows - Part 2." The film has been nominated in the category of Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, along with "Black Swan," "The King's Speech," "The Shrine" and "Tron: Legacy" (go Daft Punk!).
"Burlesque," the movie that teamed up Cher and Christina Aguilera, managed to score two nominations: one for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media ("Tangled" was the only other film nominated in this television-dominated category) and another for Cher's "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," which was nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media.
A pat on the head is due to Justin Bieber, whose "Born To Be Somebody" from "Never Say Never" was also »

It really feels like we’ve been waiting for House of Lies to surface since that stench over headliner Don Cheadle and his super hero replacement in the Iron Man franchise was still fresh. Well, part of the wait is over this week as we enjoy the view of fresh new key art.
House of Lies is a new series coming to Showtime. It will make it’s debut on January 8th on the same network that brings you Dexter and Shameless. Lies is created by Matthew Carnahan, the talent behind the ’06 series Dirt and Thieves from ’01. It is based upon the Martin Kihn book, House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Then Tell You the Time. That’s a mouthful.
Don Cheadle is primarily a film actor, but many stars make successful transitions into carrying TV shows. »

Holy sexy Halloween costumes, Batman! This weekend, both Kim Kardashian and Julianne Hough dressed up as Caped Crusader nemesis Poison Ivy for Halloween. On the East Coast, Kim rocked a supersexy strapless minidress covered in ivy with glittery platform pumps, a bright red wig and gold bangles when she hosted a bash at Lavo in New York City, sans hubby Kris Humphries. Julianne had the same idea for a Halloween bash back in Hollywood. The Footloose star tweeted a photo of herself with big brother Derek Hough in an ivy-covered corset top with skintight green lamé pants, green cuffs and a brown wig. "Halloween Costume Hint: Wearing my Red wig that I wore in Burlesque...but my character is »
The box office had to contend with the World Series, a very early snowstorm in the Northeast, and Halloween festivities across the country this weekend, but audiences still managed to make it to the movies! That being said, grosses for new releases Puss in Boots, In Time, and The Rum Diary, weren’t all that strong. Check out how they performed below:
Dreamworks Animation’s Puss in Boots was the top dog cat this weekend, clawing its way to a $34 million debut, 51 percent of which came from 3-D screens, and 7 percent of which was from IMAX theaters. On paper, that number sounds good—and, »

Her daughter might have become a son, but Cher says that underneath, Chaz Bono is the child she always knew. The Burlesque star said that although Chaz's decision to transition from male to female was hard to get her head around at first, she now realizes that deep down, nothing has changed. Speaking by phone on Anderson Cooper’s CNN show following her son’s elimination from Dancing With The Stars earlier this week, the proud mother explained, "As a mom, you have a child, and then all of a sudden you have a different child. "But you have the same child. And so, it's very hard to kind of twist your mind around to the adjustment. But then, when you look at it and you're around your child, you just think, no difference. Same child, different wrapping." And the 65-year-old believes that Chaz's appearance on the show has helped »
Singer Cher slammed Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli - the male judges on Dancing with the Stars - shortly after her son Chaz Bono was eliminated from the competition. She first wrote on her Twitter page: "Congratulations Chaz I'm So Proud Of U ! This was Your Quest... & u Followed your Star." But then the 65-year-old laid into the two male judges. Cher was particularly upset about Bruno comparing Chaz to a penguin before he was booted from the show. She added: "I didn't know who u were b4 which I guess is a blessing! But why insult him b4 he Goes! Maybe Rudeness & Flapping Arms take the place of Talent!" Len didn't escape from Cher unscathed either. She continued: "As for the Older Gentleman... every Show Needs A Grumpy Old Man!" However, she did thank Carrie Ann Inaba for her 'Gentility,' and described her as 'beautiful inside & out!' »
Christina Aguilera is reportedly struggling to lose weight, despite her best efforts. The Voice mentor piled on the pounds after filming wrapped on Burlesque last year, and following her divorce from husband-of-five-years, Jordan Bratman, last September. A source told In Touch magazine that the 30-year-old singer has tried everything to get back to her former slim self, including enlisting the help of a personal trainer, a dietician, and even a hypnotist. "Christina hates her thunder thighs," said the insider, adding that her current tactic is to hide her curves behind black clothes. © Splash News »
Twilight villain Cam Gigandet thumbs through film scripts to find the scene where his character strips off - because it's becoming the norm for him to get naked in his films.
He tells WENN, "There's a lack of clothes running through my career."
But he admits he'll never be more nervous than when he had to strip for his crush Kidman: "That scene was heightened because the person across from me was intimidating, so it was tough. I mean it was Nicole Kidman.
"I did extra sit-ups before that scene. We had to shoot it a few times so I think all the body make-up ran off and my abs were fading away with the make-up!" »
It looks like Christina Aguilera might have forgotten something when she stepped out Monday night: Her pants!
The "Burlesque" star hit the town in L.A. with boyfriend Matt Rutler in a look that was lacking both pants and, surprisingly, makeup.
Aguilera hasn't exactly made any Best Dressed lists lately, especially after her Michael Jackson tribute concert wardrobe debacle earlier this month that had everyone buzzing -- and definitely not in a good way.
Although she wasn't exactly slinging curse words around this time, Osbourne certainly shared her opinion on the singer's growing figure.
"She called me fat for years," Osbourne said Friday. "I was never that fat."
At least she looks happy.

Triple-threat Hough has come a long way since her time as a pro on "Dancing With The Stars." She has left her ballroom days behind -- at least for now -- to become a movie star, with a small role in "Burlesque" launching her into a lead role in "Footloose," opposite newcomer Kenny Wormald.
Now that she's bona fide star -- not to mention girlfriend to major Hollywood mogul Ryan Seacrest -- we thought we'd take a trip down memory lane with Hough.
Check out some photos of Hough below!

If you’re looking for a supernatural horror to amuse yourself with this coming Halloween season, judging by this this teaser trailer, you’ll need to go no further than Darren Lynn Bousman’s (Saw II, III & IV) 11-11-11.
It’s set, if you haven’t guessed, on the 11:11 on the 11th day of the 11th month but it may not be set in 1111 as it doesn’t have that 12th century look. The film focuses on an entity from another world that enters the our world through Heaven’s 11th gate and, I’d believe, the fight against whatever that creature or spirit is. With the tagline ‘Mark The Date. You Can’t Stop What’s Coming’ we’re hoping people get it confused with a ‘save-the-date’ genre of movie.
In fairness, this could be a special little B-Movie and just watch this trailer, even if it »
