Trivia

The movie was shot about 5 or 6 years before its release in 2008. This is especially important because young star Christian Madsen (born in 1990, son of actor Michael Madsen) was a lot younger in the film than his age in 2008 which was 18. See more »

A Mess of a Film
6 January 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I watch hundreds of films a year and this one made the worst of the year award (ahead of Juarez, Mexico) at the last minute. Virtually impossible to follow, the camera work is horrible, the director has no concept of pacing, and Michael Madsen looked as lost as the audience. The punk music soundtrack was all right, but pushed at too high a volume level. The concept of the plot is intriguing, but everyone missed the mark in bringing it to film. The morality aspects of the film were disjointed and difficult to follow. Attempting to be "hard-core" with the killer of the young men the director missed the mark with a total lack of blood spatter except on the killer. The apartment was pristine (probably borrowed from a buddy) with no blood on carpet, furniture or walls. If you're going to show a brutal murder you should be prepared to SHOW the results of a brutal murder.
