I'm surprised there are not more comments on this one. It exists in a good sub-titled disc form.
A couple of skate boarders get a drug killing on their camera 'phone and spend the movie being pursued by the heavies. The film echoes The WARRIORS crossing their city.
SKATE OR DIE lively if minor. The film holds attention with it's constant movement - boarders racing along the Paris boulevards and through Metro passages. The film making and performances are superior, even if the board work is unspectacular. The kids don't seem to find places cars can't go and the most imposing image is the roller blading cop pursuers at night, looking like something out of TRON.
Contrasty 'scope Fuji images, pop song track and a good balance between action and minimal dialogue. It observes classic unity of time like TV director Coutrois' comedy Une JOURNEE de MERDE!
