‘The Bachelor’ Recap: Did Tierra’s Breakdown Earn Her A Rose?

Sean finally proves he’s just as dumb as he looks, failing to see how ‘Tierra-ble’ Tierra is when she has her dramatic (fake) breakdown.

‘Luxury’ Video: Azealia Banks Has Roof Access Now

‘Luxury’ Video: Azealia Banks Has Roof Access Now
The last time that Azealia Banks was bopping around in black and white, it was in a random Montreal alley, for a little video called “212.” (Maybe you’ve heard of it?) Now, of course, Azealia is a name, with a (long-delayed) record due in February, and so she has the video locations to prove it. In the case of “Luxury,” Banks locked down a fancy Brooklyn roof with a full view of the New York skyline, along with a couple backup dancers who are slightly more trained than that Harry Potter kid. Also: suspenders, because that nineties look is still her thing. While we’re on the subject of highly stylized music videos from ascendant female performers, please go check out A*M*E’s “Play the Game Boy.” It is nuts, in the best way.

Andy Griffith

American actor whose career was defined by his role as the folksy Sheriff Andy Taylor

It may seem unfair that the nine seasons (1960-68) during which the actor Andy Griffith, who has died aged 86, distributed folksy wisdom as Sheriff Andy Taylor on The Andy Griffith Show should define his career, but that is partly because the television programme has lived on in syndication for the past 44 years, and also because Griffith brought such verisimilitude to the character. The shrewd country bumpkin is a staple of American myth, and Griffith was its finest practitioner since Will Rogers. His finest roles allowed him to explore multiple facets of that character, which he reprised as the defence attorney Ben Matlock (1986-95). He claimed modestly that "any time I try to play anything that doesn't come natural, I'm just plain bad".

And it did come natural. Griffith was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina,

Andy Griffith Passes Away at 86

Andy Griffith Passes Away at 86
Iconic television actor and gospel singer Andy Griffith has passed away at the age of 86. No cause of death has been confirmed, with the actor being laid to rest on Roanoke Island.

Unc President Bill Friday announced the death, which was later confirmed by the local sheriff. Andy Griffith is survived by his wife, Cindi Knight, who issued the following statement

"Andy was a person of incredibly strong Christian faith and was prepared for the day he would be called Home to his Lord. He is the love of my life, my constant companion, my partner, and my best friend. I cannot imagine life without Andy, but I take comfort and strength in God's Grace and in the knowledge that Andy is at peace and with God."

Andy Griffith was a regular on the Ed Sullivan show in the early 50s, but found ever-lasting fame on The Andy Griffith Show,

Andy Griffith 1926-2012

The world has lost another screen legend this week as Andy Griffith reportedly passed away at his Dare County home earlier today. The man was known to two different generations for separate iconic roles, one throughout the '60s as Sheriff Andy Taylor on his own sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, and then later as the star of Matlock in the late '80s and early '90s. He also had several noteworthy film roles over the years, including the one that launched his career, Elia Kazan's A Face in the Crowd. Griffith was 86 years old. The news comes courtesy of University of North Carolina President Bill Friday, who was a close friend of the actor. It was later confirmed that emergency medical crews responded to Griffith's home this morning. He had undergone quadruple heart-bypass surgery back in 2000 and had struggled with partial paralysis due to Guillain–Barré syndrome in the early '80s.

Of course, the show launched the career of Ron Howard, who played Griffith's son Opie. Howard took to Twitter to pay tribute to Griffith. "His pursuit of excellence and the joy he took in creating served generations & shaped my life. I'm forever grateful. Rip Andy," Howard tweeted.

Griffith found success later in life on the legal drama Matlock, which was on air for 11 years.

Fix Your Case of the Mondays With Adorable ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ Game

Disney’s upcoming animated arcade game adventure, Wreck-It Ralph, is in the unique position of already looking totally adorable as is and having a premise that lends itself to still more charming marketing ventures. The film features the voice of John C. Reilly as the eponymous Ralph, an arcade game baddie who is sick to death of smashing and crashing things. Ralph “lives” in a game called Fix-It Felix Jr., which should clue you in to who the supposed real star of his entire universe is (hint – it’s Jack McBrayer‘s goody-two-shoes, Felix). When Ralph decides to break out of his game, there are some very unexpected consequences (and, of course, lots of fun and plenty of nods to classic games, as we saw in the film’s first trailer). That said, of course Disney has crafted an actual version of Fix-It Felix Jr. that we can all play from home and of course it’s
