There's an unspoken tradition among British stage actors to drink up after a job well done. For years, True Blood actor Stephen Moyer followed that tradition, much like his "heroes," actors Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton and Oliver Reed. There's a lot of data that FX execs look at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series but ratings are a major factor. Here's an updated listing of all of their recent/current primetime scripted shows.
Fourteen-year FX publicity veteran Dominic Pagone has been promoted to senior VP of communications at FX Networks.
The announcement was made Friday by John Solberg, exec VP of communications at FX Networks and FX Productions, to whom Pagone will continue to report.
“Dominic has been an instrumental member of the FX publicity team, and I’m really happy for him on this well-deserved promotion,” Solberg said. “In this new position he will help facilitate a more defined structure for our department, which will allow us to more effectively support of our talent, shows and networks.”
In the newly created post, Pagone will oversee trade communications, talent relations, public affairs and photo publicity for FX, Fxx, Fxm and Fxp. He will no longer handle consumer media relations, with FX Networks’ vice presidents of media relations Roslyn Bibby and Lana Kim leading programming publicity efforts for the FX Networks portfolio.

Multi-talented writer/director/producer Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy) has officially set the cast to his upcoming FX pilot The Bastard Executioner. With Soa actress Katey Sagal now onboard, as well as Stephen Moyer from True Blood, let’s just say we’re enthusiastically intrigued.
The Bastard Executioner may only be in the pilot stages right now but that doesn’t me we can’t start getting excited.
