Both scenes where Alan K. Sapp gets a cake thrown in his face were shot on the same day. Alan started the morning off with vanilla and ended the shooting day with chocolate.
It was Alan K. Sapp's idea to have Mark Folkes' character, Eddie McWaters, throw his tie over his shoulder before hugging him. It was also Alan's idea to eat a piece of chocolate cake off of his own face for the second cake-in-the-face scene.
All of the songs that play at the bar that Eddie, Jack and Rolly go to are by the film's composer, Fane, or bands he was previously a member of.
Although Michael Mercy plays an alcoholic in this film, Mercy rarely drinks, and has never been drunk.
Rolly's last name, Kilmartin, is named after writer/director Michael Mercy's friend, Paul Kilmartin. Paul plays the voice of Dr. Keirin in the film.
