Atom Nine Adventures is a cute little film for the family. I got to see it at a local Film Festival. Its about a new superhero. Christopher Farley, who is the Producer, Writer, and Director, also stars in this film as Dr Adam Gaines.
Dr Adam Gaines and his flying robot type thing, called "Jimbot", are out in an open forest area when a Meteorite comes flying at them. They get missed but end up taking it with them back to the lab. A little parasite ends up being in the meteor, and due to an explosion that occurs, Dr Gaines ends up being the host for the parasite. But this is what gives him his super powers. He will end up being grabbed by what are called "Fluggmen" and brought to the super villain, Gremlo Flugg. The total destruction of the world is at stake but will "Atom Nine" be able to stop it?
This film was great. I really liked the special effects, and the parasite with no name was just so darn cute! Jimbot was hilarious, and well done. The set designs were very good. Atom Nine's costume was definitely a super heroes costume. The super villain, played by Colin Armstrong, was a bit cheesy but the film itself was funny anyway. There is also a bit of romance that sparks up between Adam and Margo, played by Jennifer Ferguson. One of the other characters that I want to mention is the News Anchor. Which is played by the actor, Tom Katsis, whose 1st film was actually "Killer Tomatoes Eat France!"
Take your kids with you to see this film. I'm sure that they will love it. And if you've always loved superheroes and/or super villains, then this movie is just for you.
