- The six remaining couples perform a dance that they have not previously performed and do a disco dance in one of two formations of three couples each, then the couple with the lowest score, combined from the judges' scores and viewers' votes, is eliminated.—Allister Coots
- Daryl begins the show by introducing us to the panel of judges - Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio and Mark Wilson - the house orchestra, led by Chong Lim, and co-host Sonia Kruger, who was wearing a Ruth Tardyas gown and Hardy Brothers jewellery. They inform the viewers that the voting lines have now closed, and introduce the six remaining couples. Tonight, they will do a dance that they have not previously performed, and in an Australian first, they would also perform a Disco dance in one of two groups of three couples.
The first couple to perform tonight were David Graham and his partner Eliza Campagna, who were dressed like Roman gladiators as they performed a heady Paso Doble. The judges remarked favourably on Eliza's efforts and the combination of their popularity and ability to dance, they were not impressed by David's part of the performance. After they were interviewed by Sonia in the green room, the judges revealed their scores. All four scored them 1 out of a possible 10, giving them a total of just 4 points. Up next were singer and musician Kate Ceberano, dressed in a flowing raven gown, and her partner John-Paul Collins, who performed a graceful and classic Waltz. Their choreography thrilled the judges and the audience, but the judges remarked that they needed to watch their technique with their classic routines. Todd scored them 7, Helen 7, Paul 8 and Mark 8 for a total of 30 points.
They were followed by horticulturalist and TV presenter Jamie Durie and his partner Amanda Garner, dressed in matching black and white outfits reminiscent of the 1920's, who performed a show-stopping, exciting Quickstep. The judges remarked that their routine was energetic, but that Jamie had raced through it - the Quickstep requires both slow and quick points, but the judges felt that the couple's performance lacked the former. Todd scored them 7, Helen 6, Paul 6 and Mark 6, for a total of 25 points.
The show then broke new ground as the three female celebrities - Kate Ceberano, Fifi Box and Tatiana Grigorieva - and their respective partners, John-Paul Collins, Paul Green and Brendan Humphreys, took to the floor for a high energy Disco routine. Todd commented that the routine was going to be hard to mark as he had "never scored in a disco before", while the funky outfits of the couples impressed all of the judges. After Sonia interviewed all of the couples in the green room, the judges revealed their scores for each couple. For Kate and John-Paul, Todd scored 8, Helen 8, Paul 7 and Mark 7 for a total of 30 points. For Fifi and Paul, Todd scored 7, Helen 8, Paul 7 and Mark 8, for a total of 30 points. For Tatiana and Brendan, Todd scored 5, Helen 7, Paul 7 and Mark 7, for a total of 26 points.
Next to take to the floor were Home And Away actor Tim Campbell and his partner Natalie Lowe, who performed a fierce and exhilarating Rumba that thrilled the judges and audience once more. The judges remarked that the couple's challenge is to push themselves to continue to be just as outstanding in the following weeks, and the importance of that challenge was reflected in their scores tonight - Todd scored them 10, Helen 9, Paul 10 and Mark 10, for a total of 39 points.
They were followed by radio personality Fifi Box and her partner Paul Green, who wowed the audience with a sultry Foxtrot. Fifi's exuberance impressed the judges, but they advised the couple to watch their choreography. Todd scored them 8, Helen 8, Paul 7 and Mark 8 for a total of 31 points.
Up next on the floor were Olympic pole vaulting champion Tatiana Grigorieva, dressed in a fiery red outfit, and her partner Brendan Humphreys, who performed a blistering Cha-Cha. The routine and its choreography impressed both the audience and judges alike. All four judges scored them 7, for a total of 28 points.
Then it was the turn of the male celebrities - Tim Campbell, Jamie Durie and David Graham - and their respective partners, Natalie Lowe, Amanda Garner and Eliza Campagna, to perform a sizzling Disco routine. Among their outfits were some afro wigs, tight green pants and open-necked shirts. Again the judges commented on how hard the routines would be to mark, but were impressed by the funky themed outfits. They also remarked that David had found his calling as a disco dancing diva. Sonia interviewed the three couples in the green room, then the judges revealed their scores for each. For Tim and Natalie, Todd scored 8, Helen 9, Paul 8 and Mark 9, for a total of 34 points. For Jamie and Amanda, Todd scored 8, Helen 9, Paul 8 and Mark 9, for a total of 34 points. For David and Eliza, Todd scored 4, Helen 4, Paul 6 and Mark 8, for a total of 22 points.
After that, all six couples returned to the floor to find out who would be leaving, according to the judges scores combined with the viewer votes. The top four couples are revealed in random order, then the other two waited a moment longer before it was revealed that Tatiana and Brendan had the lowest score and were thus leaving tonight. As they take us out, Daryl informs the viewers that the voting lines are open, and that they have two weeks to cast their votes as next week, Sonia would interview the five remaining couples and re-live their best dances from the series so far.
