Storyline

The film was made at Thompson, Pa., and covers the industry from the tapping of the trees, from which the sap oozes as thin and colorless as spring water, to the final stage of crystallization after which it is made ready to crate and ship to market. The process of evaporation, depicting the old and new method, is of decided interest when one learns that for every gallon of maple syrup, forty gallons of sap have been collected, boiled down, and put through the process of evaporation and other subsequent operation necessary to the product.
