Did You Know?

House: Thank you all for coming to Tribal Council. House is mimicking the line said very often by Jeff Probst, host of the TV show Survivor. Survivor pits people against each other in strange locations and votes these people off in tribal councils. See more »

When the patient sticks his knife in the outlet, sparks fly. This normally wouldn't happen unless the knife is wired directly to ground. When House sticks the knife in, he inserts it in the neutral side (large, 'T' shaped hole). The neutral has little or no voltage which shouldn't result in a flash or serious shock. (DO NOT TRY THIS! It's dangerous, stupid and the outlet may not be wired correctly.) See more »

Thirteen: Forget the lecture! Just *fire* me already!
Dr. Gregory House: if I were going to fire you, I'd have done it already. That's why the lecture... I *know* it's not going to happen again.

A sense of mystery
10 October 2007 | by (Connecticut) – See all my reviews

Let's clear up that odd title: It refers to how long a patient lies dead after attempting suicide, near the beginning of the episode. Those 97 seconds will figure prominently later in the story, which otherwise has House and the remainder of his original 40 (see last week) dealing with a crippled man who is dying faster than he should. Young (and sexy) actress Anne Dudek is back as a very sassy doctor looking to join House's team no matter what, as is veteran character actor Peter Jacobson as a wily and incisive plastic surgeon. The ending of 97 SECONDS is not for the squeamish, and proof of the brilliance of this show, which admittedly has had its uneven moments. To the show's producers: Just don't bring back David Morse (see last season), as much as I love the guy! That's one horse you beat to death several times over.
