The house used to represent Longbourn, the Bennet's home, was an empty, derelict building called Bramham Biggin located on the Bramham Park Estate in West Yorkshire England. The building had not been in use for a long time so the film crew were allowed to make many alterations to the property, including the addition of a porch over the front entrance and a planting a new garden.
At the ball, the Bennett sisters tell a story of how they have a wager to get Mr. Darcy to say three words to them, and they fail when he responds with "You lose." This exchange is supposed to have actually happened in history, and the famous response was uttered by United States President, Calvin Coolidge. The story has also been attached to the British Prime Minister Clement Attlee
Tom Riley (Mr. Wickham) & Elliot Cowan (Mr. Darcy) have ended up working together, 5 years later while appearing in the TV series, Da Vinci's Demons (2013). They play Leonardo Da Vinci & Lorenzo Medici respectively.
The tall green hat with a peacock feather Christina Cole (Caroline Bingley) wears at Pemberley during the shooting contest is the same one worn by an extra in Sense and Sensibility (1995) in the Covent Garden coffee shop.
The medallion-print white muslin day dress Perdita Weeks wears while sewing cushions for the church is the same costume Susan Edmonstone (Mrs. Grant) wears when the Crawfords first arrive at the vicarage in Mansfield Park (1983).
The white gown with beaded trim on the sleeves and down the front worn by Morven Christie (Jane Bennet) for the wedding is the same costume worn by a guest at the party where Brummel meets Byron in Beau Brummell: This Charming Man (2006).
The green pelisse with ribbon trim down the middle of the front and back worn by by Alex Kingston (Mrs. Bennet) in the coach en route to the Netherfield Ball is the same costume worn by Anna Chancellor (Caroline Bingley) when she visits Jane Bennet on Gracechurch Street in London in Pride and Prejudice (1995), and by a guest at the London Salon in Byron (2003).
