Eddie Benitez is a gifted Latin jazz guitarist, who inherited from his mother the gift of seeing into the spirit world. As Eddie begins to revive his long-dormant music career, he and his wife Mirna and his young adult son Eddie Jr. move from New York to Tempe, Arizona. Eddie's gift allows him to see the ghost that soon begins to terrorize the family. The malevolent spirit takes possession of Eddie Jr., who grows ill and becomes uncharacteristically hostile to his parents. The Arizona Desert Ghost Hunters are able to provide insight into what is happening. But the final piece of the puzzle comes from the daughter of the dead man haunting the house. Written by J. Spurlin

A Haunting has lost all credibility
5 January 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

After watching this episode, I have lost ALL respect for this TV Show. I personally know the family in this episode and NONE of this story is true. First off, they moved from New York to Florida until Eddie Jr graduated high school.(1995) They then moved to Scottsdale, AZ where the only family member working was Myrna, the wife. They lived in a roach infested 2 bedroom apartment with 5 kids and 2 adults. It was then that Eddie Sr would tell "ghost stories" to anyone who was dumb enough to listen. Since then they've moved at least 20 times to various apartments/houses. Still, no one has a job. Eddie Jr started getting sick from his Asmatha and smoking. He clammed to have anxiety attacks and couldn't work. Then they came up with the idea to say a ghost was possessing him. That's where "A Haunting" came into play. They never even lived in that house. The entire story is a LIE!!!
