Storyline

Paul Blart is a mild-mannered man who works as a security guard in a New Jersey mall. For years, he has applied to become a cop, but he always fails the physical exam because he is overweight. One day, a gang of organized criminals put the mall under siege and take hostages. Blart becomes trapped inside, and because of his sense of duty, refuses to leave. He thus becomes the police department's eyes on the inside and attempts to stop the criminals on his own. Written by J. Rieper

Not even worth renting, it's kid friendly though
12 April 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is a pretty bad movie, that tries to make a parody of "Die Hard" movies. Watching the this was like watching a obese and retarded John McClane running around and doing stuff to take down the bad guys in a very unfunny way. This movie would have been alright if the mall cop or Paul Blart use the mall more as his advantage to beat down the bad guys, but most of the movie relies on fat man humor and that is basically all this movie is when it comes to try to be funny. This is a kid friendly movie though, so you can watch it with your kids if you have any.
