In Hollywood, there are only so many really good roles for tubby male dreamboats of a certain age, and Alec Baldwin seems to be scarfing up half of them. So what's, say, Val Kilmer to do? The former Caped Crusader is thinking about ruling New Mexico, if that's what the people want. "I'm just looking for ways to be contributive," Kilmer tells the AP. "And if that ends up being where I can make a substantial contribution, then I'll run." Honestly, Val, starring as the uncredited voice of the car in Knight Rider is more than most people contribute to the good of society –- but if you decide to take on the additional challenge of governing a state, we wish you the best of luck!

It.s back to basics for NBC's "Knight Rider." In an effort to breathe new life into the show, the network decided that they needed to get back to what made the original .Knight Rider. series work: the idea that one man could make a difference. Well, one man and his car. That's not new ... but it's still debatable on if NBC is going to even give the show a chance. Though the show was just picked up for a full 22-episode season in October, it only took until November for NBC to see that the show wasn.t working out as well as expected. Come December, the show was reduced to 17 episodes. Showrunner Gary Scott Thompson told SFX Red Alert about the changes that have been made to the show.
