Michael Biehn Takes on Directorial Role with The Victim

Interesting news coming out of the camp of the indie feature The Victim. It seems as if actor Michael Biehn has flexed his directing muscle as well on this latest thriller.

From the Press Release:

Michael Biehn is best known for his captivating roles on-screen, but you can now add a new title to his long list of credits. The lead actor of The Victim is now also helming the role of director in the much anticipated psychological thriller.

“Throughout my career Iʼve worked with some of the greatest directors of all time, like James Cameron, William Friedkin,” Michael says. “Iʼve gotten the chance to really watch the best at work...but Iʼve come to learn Iʼm a maniac on set. Iʼm so passionate I get really intense, and I think thatʼs how I get the best performance out of my cast.”

Trained in theater and film, Jesse Eisenberg (Mark Zuckerberg) made his feature film debut in the 2002 independent film “Rodger Dodger,” in which he starred opposite Campbell Scott and for which he was nominated for a Gotham Award.

For his performance in “The Squid and the Whale” opposite Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels, Eisenberg received nominations for an Independent Spirit Award and a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor.
