Cradle to Grave was a nice return episode of "Back to You"
13 March 2008 | by (Baton Rouge, La.) – See all my reviews

After a nearly three month hiatus, a result not of the just-ended writer's strike but of low ratings last fall, "Back to You" returns with some completed episodes filmed before aforementioned strike. A weekend anchor had just died and Kelly is asked to say the eulogy. That means daughter Gracie needs a babysitter during the event and she reluctantly accepts Chuck's offer on condition he doesn't reveal that he's Gracie's father. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Kelly, the rest of the crew finds out that many of this late anchor's friends thinks she had a relationship with him while sportscaster Marsh had found out he was a closeted gay accidentally...This was a pretty funny return for the series as it got some good ratings when it followed an "American Idol" episode that lasted 90 minutes. Loved many of the lines that mentioned the late anchor's double life. There were also some touching scenes with Chuck and Gracie. Glad to know the show did pretty well and will look forward to many of the post-strike episodes when they air. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch the other episode that aired the next night after another "American Idol" episode...
