The mystery starts in solid style

Diana and Geoffrey live a luxurious life, luxury cars, mink coats and an imminent French holiday planned, sounds idyllic, but Diana harbours a secret, she's having an affair with Geoffrey's business partner Mark. The pair plan to bump off Geoffrey and Mark lures him to his death and shoots him, but when it comes to disposing of the body, Geoffrey has gone, and soon starts ringing Diana. A body is found and as instructed by the call Diana identifies him as her dead husband.

You know what you're going to get with Frances Durbridge, and if you're a fan like me, you'll enjoy and be aware of how his work plays out. Similar in many ways to Melissa, but different.

Part one sets the scene well, and with a lead combination of John Thaw and Sylvia Syms, you know you're in safe hands, he looks dashing with dark hair, while Sylvia looks so glamorous.

You know instantly that twists and turns await you, intriguing opening episode 7/10
