Juliet asks Shawn and Gus for help in capturing an accused murderer who escaped from her. They track the man down, but soon discover he is innocent and they try to find the real killer - but things are complicated by a bounty hunter.

Murder suspect Dwayne Tancana escapes while Juliet guards him to the courthouse. Shawn accepts to track him down before ruthless bounty hunter Byrd Tatums. When Byrd goes after Dwayne at the diner, Dwayne dives HANDS first out of the order window and pulls himself through it. As Byrd continues to chase him through the diner Dwayne still has his hands free. However in the very next scene when Dwayne shows up in the backseat of Gus's car, his hands are cuffed, which is emphasized by him moving his feet through his arms from behind his back.
