The Combat was conceived, produced and shot in one week. The film was shot in six hours. It took one year to edit.

Director Davi de Oliveira Pinheiro claims influence from the comic book Uncanny X-Men # 117: "Psi-War" (1979) by John Byrne and Chris Claremont, and the movies The Fury (1978), and Scanners (1981).
