"Ghosts and snipers really put things into perspective."
aarpcats3 January 2022
A group of ex college buddies rent a house to give their soon to be married friend a last bachelor blow out. The men haven't seen each other in a while, and quickly find they are at varying stages of success and maturity in their personal lives. The bromance ends for good when a stripper arrives, and two of the.men in the party suddenly begin telling the truth about themselves. And then, as you have seen in a dozen other movies, the stripper dies.

In this movie, the screenwriter knows you have seen the dead stripper trope in a dozen other movies, and uses it to subvert the viewer's expectations in much the same way SCREAM subverts the slasher trope. It works in parts of the plot creating a little confusion, a few laughs and a strange movie.

The movie suffers from mediocre acting and uneven pacing, but I enjoyed the overall goofiness of a horror comedy.

One of if not the absolute dumbest movie all time
berg-7453223 January 2022
Garbage movie that thinks it's clever but isn't sure if it'a straight horror comedy horror action horror that makes no sense from start to finish. I instantly hated every character and the end of the movie is impossible to like. Horrible start horrible all the way through and horrible ending. I wanted desperately to find something anything that could make me understand the relatively low 4.5 but no absolutely nothing ever presents itself. A complete waste of time.

Uhh...huh?
emceegusto31 December 2021
I see the cast of this movie has posted their reviews lol.

This might be the first real review.

Well not a review, just a warning to anyone thinking about watching this: don't. It's not a "mixed bag"; it's a bag of piss and vinegar....and bad acting... and no budget... and a script written by a buzzfeed editor.

A Fun, Unique Horror/Comedy Mash-Up
baccaruda14 November 2021
A unique take on the possession genre, with some laughs mixed in with a twisty, crazy plot. You definitely haven't seen a film like this one, so if you appreciate originality in a genre that struggles to find new ways to tell a story, you'll dig this one. As you watch, you'll see an homage or two from past horror films, making it even more fun and unexpected.

Well worth watching
LilysHammer29 December 2021
Yes, it starts a little slow and you may be tempted to click off, but you will be rewarded for sticking around. The actual storyline is quite good, which sets it a step above a 4 or 5 star horror. The comedy is cheeky and fun, rather than sight gags. The acting was a little uneven - less a cohesive whole than an array of people playing characters (but some of those characters... :::chef's kiss:::) Also, there were 8 main characters which is about 3 more than an audience can really keep track of in a buddy movie. Those are my only two "complaints", if you could even call them that. The story really took off in the second act and had me rethinking and re-evaluating all that had come before. Something I sincerely did not expect. I'm rarely surprised by a movie with so few ratings, but pleasantly surprised I am!

Good Character Work Kept Me In It
adrian-digiovanni17 February 2022
The story is interesting and some of the character work had me laughing out loud. Some of the jokes could have fallen flat but the delivery was on point. Stand outs for me were Boyd (Matt Mercer) and Officer Mooney (Kenneth Farmer).

It took a moment for me to warm up to the characters and what was going on, but once it got moving I was in!

Good indie film. Worth a watch!

Fine ensemble dark comedy!
csm10720001 October 2021
Watched the new indie dark comedy Cold Feet-a fun twist on the bro bachelor comedy with a terrific ensemble cast. It's great to see my friend Allen C. Gardner reunited with Brad Ellis (they directed the fine/funny 2016 comedy Bad Bad Men) as directors with another fine script by Gardner. It's a fun look at a group of best buddies who rent at home to celebrate the upcoming marriage of friend Eddie (Gardner). What begins as a fun/laid back weekend suddenly goes awry with murders/horror and some ghostly activity. I love how Ellis and Gardner keep this character driven with a lot of heart. We can see how much these characters care about each other. It's also a kick to twist in the horror element into this bro drama- a fresh exciting aspect of telling this type of story. The ensemble of fine actors (along with Gardner, Matt Mercer, Nathan Ross Murphy, Adam Burns, Gabe Arredondo, Matt Gilliam, Matthew Stiller, Kenneth Farmer, Lindsay Roberts, Najarra Townsend Drew Smith, Drew Paslay, Hayden Blaine, and John Speredokos) work very well here and all have moments to shine. Cold Feet is both off-beat/thrilling and funny-a black comedy that keeps us rooting for the characters and gives us a satisfying conclusion that ties up all the horror/comedy in an effective manner.

a nice surprise ....thanks movie
godinamachine28 January 2023
HEY EVERYBDY ITS ME (4) and today we review ....what my wife sticks on me in the middle of the night ...THE MOVIE !

"evening officer - AH BANG ! "lol... indeed a perfect moment ......

SO here we have a great little film filled with solid comedy mixed with horror elements BUT NOT horror in the sense of gore or people getting utterly destroyed by millions of zombies etc ...... a few moments of horror but its "horror " in the sense of its plot surrounding a ghost house ....GHOST HOUSE !!!!!!! .... so don't expect blood and guts flying everywhere ... sure there's a few dead people here or there but again nothing TOO graphic ......

so the film goes along with a bachelor party for a young man who is REALLY getting ....wait for it ... COLD FEET !!!!!!!!! But then come to find out the house is haunted by the owners dead wife and because she's now dead she also has ....wait ..... wait for it .....yup ...COLD FEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See how this is going !!!!!!!!!!! Anyways ..... so this ghost bounces around bodies for a while creating confusion .... you have some stereotypical characters and silliness ensues but it does a solid job of not getting boring while delivering a deeper meaning of "hey love conquers all " and fight for what you love not what you lust for etc etc ........ yea I guess it has some sort of moral lesson during the gun fire and body snatching ......

so lets break it down, the horror is NOT enough to REALLY make it scary or gory etc as stated SO this is for sure more comedy ... like ... 80% comedy and 10% horror and 10% romance ? It for sure is a good movie though ... it kept my attention enough to have me interested and enjoy it from beginning to end ......the acting was decent and probably WAY better than it actually should have been , they had some inclusive characters and addressed the moments that would have been VERY realistic with a bunch of "buddies" with that ... the gay friend and every time they brought up a gay joke or something they would all say together "sorry ______" ... and that's realistic AND funny because anyone group of dudes with a gay friend in the group relates ... but its nice to see a film that's not pushing that point SO hard that he's SO GAY and you have to care SO much etc etc ..... instead it feels like a real friendship and a real life kind of thing .... thanks movie

so .... easy 8/10 ....

the film has sold technical specs .... so no complaints ...and its a funny/fun film ....surprisingly enough lol...

Cold Feet will keep you amused
BigHarvey15 January 2022
Cold Feet is a comedy horror film where a group of friends gathers together for a bachelor party only to become fodder for a vengeful cuckold ghost. It's funny, irreverent, light, and supported by a terrific cast of goofballs. If you're looking for a few chuckles mixed with some serious moments, Cold Feet will keep you amused.

Ghosts, snipers, and a dead stripper, what a mix.
AboutFaceMediaAFM21 October 2022
A dead stripper at a bachelor party, what could possibly go wrong? While we have seen it before, it works in this instance and gives the way to what Scary Movie did with Scream and all the other slasher films mixed in.

Is it over the top? Of course, it's a horror and a comedy. There has yet to be one I watched that wasn't over the top. This is what makes the film enjoyable. The characters don't act in a way they're supposed to because of the comedy piece.

I'm all for parody's and this fits the bill. It's a great indie fun film and I applaud everyone involved who pulled it off.

Random note: People need to really research these homes. There have been plenty of films to warn them. Ha!

A Ghost, a Sniper, and a Stripper, Oh My!
rdfranciscritic18 January 2023
Cold Feet is my first exposure to the work of producer-director Brad Ellis and writer-director-actor Allan C. Gardner. I received a festival screener by way of October Coast promotions as a critic at B&S About Movies. While B&S reviews new films, those reviews are mostly for low-budget indies.

This particular indie is a well-written not-sure-where-this-is-going surprise. If you mixed Judd Apatow's raunch with Sam Raimi's cabins and tossed in a few Dario Argento-red herrings, you'd be inside the cabin environs of this, the seventh writing-directing effort of Allan C. Gardner. Only not as tasteless-funny as an Apatow flick and not as bloody-campy as a Raimi flick. There's loads of potential exhibited in the frames to encourage one to visit the Gardner-Ellis back catalog as well as looking forward to their newer films.

Wonderfully smart, funny parody
I_Ailurophile25 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I hadn't hoped for much when I first came across 'Cold feet,' but I'll try watching just about anything. I was pleasantly surprised to notice at the start that star Allen C. Gardner wrote and co-directed 'Cold feet'; I've only seen one other film from him (2018 comedy-drama 'Save yourself'), but I quite enjoyed it. For whatever time she has on-screen, it was Najarra Townsend's involvement that drew me in in the first place; I've seen a few of her movies, and I think she's a swell actress. I began watching with only this sparse foreknowledge - and in no time the movie totally bested all my expectations. I can get why this doesn't sit well with all potential viewers, but I love it!

What makes 'Cold feet' so terrific is that it dabbles with very familiar tropes and story ideas - then completely turns them on their head, and endlessly parodies them. The movie begins with the set-up of a tired bachelor party comedy (1984's 'Bachelor party,' with Tom Hanks, on the lighter side - or on the opposite end of the spectrum, 1998's 'Very bad things'), but every instance of raunchy humor and dialogue, and suggested homophobia, is immediately countered by disinterested responses, reasoned discussion, and apologies. Flaring tempers and wild bombast are replaced by quiet heartfelt conversation and mutual support. Every plot point and joke is consciously teased out with only mild, lethargic pacing to deaden the usual effect (schlocky sex comedy), and heighten the intended one (deadpan mockery). Every conventional turn in the plot is warped to the same end, and even the haunted house angle is twisted around. Any sense of horror, suspense, or thrills that should follow from the added genre element is pointedly flattened by deliberate plot development, and a mouthful of exposition that explains the entirety of the scenario.

If all this sounds horridly dull to you - well, I understand. Everyone has their personal preferences. For my part, I cannot overstate what a delight it was to watch all these ideas, that in any other movie would be force-fed to audiences with loud and obnoxious energy, skewered in a marvelously witty way. Why, for has heavily as 'Cold feet' derides its cousins, the fun is so balanced - almost softly condescending - that it arguably comes off as weirdly wholesome. When is the last time any comedy could be described as wholesome, let alone one about a bachelor party?

I love Gardner's screenplay, in which dialogue, characters, scene writing, and the narrative at large all converge to the same cheekily decent (as in, not indecent), jeering slant. I appreciate the costume design, hair and makeup, blood, and effects that help to tie this little feature together. I admire the cast, all bringing great passion and good cheer to their roles - and especially Gardner, Townsend, and co-star Matt Mercer, who in their own ways each get an opportunity to particularly illustrate some of their skills. The comedic timing of some gags is just all too perfect, and the cleverness keeps coming right up until the moment that the end credits begin rolling. I had mixed to low expectations when I started watching, but in no time I came to adore this movie. There's sharp intelligence here, and heart, that is sadly missing from too many more recognizable modern titles. The method Gardner and co-director Brad Ellis use to let 'Cold feet' flout all assumptions is a pleasantly surprising, welcome trick, and the result is a fabulously entertaining, satisfying comedy. What more can I say? Two thumbs up from me!

Indie Fun
artistgp25 January 2022
A fun indie horror comedy with a quirky ensemble cast. This one was a lot of fun. I'm a fan of this director/actor so I always look forward to seeing what he comes up with next. I don't want to get into spoilers but there's a cool plot line happening in regards to the action. Totally worth checking out!
